The week in review: December 30, 2012 through January 3, 2013

What a week. I didn’t realize as the sun set on December 30 just how quickly I would be catapulted into the the year that was about to start, but just twenty-nine and a half hours after welcoming the new year, I was back to the pre-dawn routine of getting my son ready for school.

There was a breakfast to be cooked, a lunch to be made, a dog to be walked, and a deadline to be met.

I got them all done.

I also finished the long-forgotten/abandoned/languishing six sudoku afghan, I made substantive progress on a seafarer’s cap I had intended to give as a Christmas present (it might finally be ready tomorrow), and I resumed work on the African flower hexagon meditation that I had had to set aside in mid-December to focus on holiday projects that were more time sensitive.
