In the aftermath of Christmas 2013, I drew inspiration from my cat, Stripes.
While she loves pretty much everything I make (as long as it was not made specifically for her), one of her favorite pieces is this fat bag I made in November of 2012:
Inspired by the Better Homes & Gardens Granny Sampler Afghan (the first rendition of which took me 12 years to figure out and complete)
This fat bag is my (and as it turns out, my cat’s) go-to bag, and today, Stripes beat me to it, spending most of the daylight hours safely ensconced in the bag:
While Stripes enjoyed a completely lazy day, sometime after lunch, I finally routed myself from the post-holiday haze and did some work on my as yet-to-be completed holiday gift, the curry-colored Victorian texting gloves:
While I had hoped to give them as a Christmas gift, have clearly missed that deadline and can hope that the fingerless texting gloves will serve equally well as a gift to mark the New Year.
