As of today, the cookie-dough-ku is done, I crocheted the last cookie.

I got up before dawn, and as soon as I had finished with all of my morning tasks, I sat down and got to work on the nine cookies that remained to be crocheted.

Then, somewhere between 1:30 and 2:00 o’clock this afternoon, I worked the last stitch, wove in the last end, and the final cookie was completed along with the 50 others needed to solve the cookie-dough-ku puzzle.

Not only had I finished the final cookie, but last week, when I took my mother to the ambulatory surgery center for a procedure, I finished the border on the cookie-dough-ku puzzle itself, and on Monday, I had time to block it.

With both the cookie-dough-ku puzzle and the solving cookies done, I was not able to resist the temptation to work it, and after getting stuck for a rather l-o-n-g moment, I was able to place one cookie that seemed to make all the others fall into place, and my family and I celebrated

I have enjoyed working on this project even more than I thought I would, and after I make the notes I need to finish writing the pattern, I will pack up all of the cookie-dough-ku elements and send them off to my oldest son, and hopefully he will enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed making it.
