The best of crochet intentions

I woke both yesterday and today with the best of crochet intentions, and despite my diligence, I didn’t get done as much as I had hoped to get done, which, it seems, is a perennial state for me.

Be that as it may, shortly after lunch today, I took an inventory of where I was:

I had completed the second round of rehab for my current nine patch of crochet remnants undergoing rehab, and I had thirty-six of the thirty-nine crochet circles needed for the boho granny squares for my future boho crochet purse. All I really needed to do was to crochet three more circles, weave in the ends, and then deal with this pile of crochet yarn scraps that have accumulated:

The three crochet circles went quickly, and it was seemed like no time at all the ends were woven in, but then I needed to tackle the pile of yarn scraps. I tied one end and then another and then another (here is a video of the technique I use), and then finally it was mostly done:

I got this overview of the crochet remnants on their way to becoming full-fledged five-inch crochet squares:

and I tied the last end of the smaller scrap yarn ball to the last end of the larger scrap yarn ball, and wound it all into one even larger yarn ball:

I don’t expect that I will ever get done everything I hope to get done in a day, but at least I enjoy myself along the way, one square, one yarn scrap, and one stitch at a time.
