Winter, it would seem, is not giving up without a fight this year, but at least for a few days, the weather was nice enough for me to be able to sit outside and play my hook, and after I finished work on the two panels of a crochet cookie bag, seen here:

Uncertain of my plan for the lining of the cookie bag, I set it aside to allow time for contemplation, and then, like a moth to the flame, I found myself drawn to this copy of Crochet Noro: 30 Dazzling Designs:

It contains 30 quite wonderful projects, but I bought it for one project and one project alone: the Flower Blossom Purse.

Unable (and unwilling) to resist starting work on the bag of blooms, I got out ten of my favorite Red Heart Super Saver colors (cherry red, shocking pink, pretty ‘n pink, pumpkin, bright yellow, spring green, turqua, Delft, a vintage RH amethyst, and coffee), a 4.0 mm hook, and got to work.

By the time the sun was ready to set on my weekend, I had finished twenty of the twenty-five blooms I will need to make the bag.

I still have some contemplation yet to do to arrive at the best solution for the lining of my cookie bag, but I am delighted that I was able to use that time to make progress on another project that in its way, epitomizes what spring is all about.
