Just before this past Halloween, I added a couple of items to my official crochet bucket list. Since then I have come across any number of tempting projects, but here are three that I absolutely HAVE to make because they are just to wonderful to go unmade.
It seems that one rule of a crochet bucket list is that for every project finished, several more rush in to take the place of the one just completed.
One that recently caught my eye and coming in at 76 is this pouf:
I will have to figure out a way to execute this project in crochet, but I love the shape, the colors, and the idea; I have no doubt that it will be a joy to work on.
Next up and coming in at 75 is this texture rich design by Mary Lokken:
I love the texture that is created by this very simple yet intriguing stitch. Squares like these could be used for any number of projects, but in addition to being used to make blankets, I think they could be used to make very colorful dishcloths and washcloths. You can find the link to a download for this pattern here.
Also making my list and coming in at 74 are these granny square slippers from the Purl Bee:
I have had such fun (and good results) with the Purl Bee’s stash bag pattern, I can’t imagine that these slippers are anything less than totally sublime.
Given the nature of my ever expanding crochet bucket list, even if I live to be 150 and can crochet 12 hours a day every day from now until then, there is no way I will get through everything on my list, but I will have an awful lot of fun trying.
