The devil is in the detail

And, it would seem, this particular project has a lot of detail.

And a lot of those details have yet to be worked out.

There is the crochet clock that is meant to be a replica of an Ansonia clock given to my grandparents on the occasion of their wedding. I have not yet decided what time if any will be on the face of it, and because of that I haven’t gotten the clock itself appliquéd to the background:

Then there are the crochet crazy quilt pieces I have made that are waiting to be joined and decorated:

and then there are the crazy quilt crochet pieces which I have yet to  crochet (and join and decorate), but what I do have can be seen here:

Then I have pieces to fit together, and those fits need to be checked (and double checked):

There are also Borders to be crocheted around panels which will then need to be joined (somehow), and then a final framing crochet border that will go all the way around everything.

There is a long way to go before this project will be put to bed, a lot of mistakes to make that will teach me something either about myself, my grandmother, or my crochet, and I will have to face the truth that I can only ever move forward one stitch at a time.
