Stealth crochet

The first thing I did this morning was photograph my newly completed grape fizz earwarmer/headband.

I knew that the temperatures were going to be dropping, so last night, after I had finished my blog post, I got out my 4.0 mm hook and set to work getting the earwarmer/headband done so that when morning came, my ears and I would be ready for the pre-dawn walk with my son to the bus stop.

Here is a side view that shows the modest shaping:

After the sun had risen and the dog had been walked, I then spent the entire day working on the six sudoku afghan for my son.

I finished all of the squares for the second sudoku puzzle:

crochetbug, crochet squares, crochet blocks, crochet sudoku, crochet puzzle, crochet blanket, crochet afghan, crochet throw, single crochet
The 2nd sudoku for the six sudoku afghan

along with one square for the third sudoku puzzle:

and got almost everything put away before he walked in the door.

Then, as he was busy ignoring me from a room that is adjacent to where I was doing my work, I continued crocheting one square after another.

I don’t yet know if my efforts will result in a completely completed afghan come Christmas morning, I but I am going to try.
