After my last blog post, I resumed my journey to a thousand rehabbed crochet squares with a new sense of determination. However,in order to square off the crochet hexagon peace sign, I needed to frog the hexagon part of the motif so it could be squared off. But in oder to do that, I needed to make sure that I had written the pattern for that particular crochet hexagon correctly. So, found myself making another crochet hexagon peace sign before I could frog and rework the remnant. So I started the weekend with a touch of ironic crochet:

Despite the fact that the first thing I did seemed to almost be taking several step backwards, those steps helped propel forward, and not only did I get accurate notes for a pattern for the hexagon written, I also got accurate notes for squaring off a two-round boho crochet heart:

and before the weekend was over, I had all nine of the crochet remnants rehabbed and ready to go.
With some weekend still left, I sorted through one of my crochet bins hoping to find a set of large hooks I know that I have, and while I didn’t find the hooks, I did find more five-inch squares I had already rehabbed, along with twelve crochet remnants in need of rehab:

So this afternoon, my dog and I sat outside. Me working on my crochet while he worked on his beauty rest. I started be weaving in all of the ends:

With that task ta-done, I turned my attention to squaring off the various remnants with the stash of yarn I had at my side. I finished eight of the squares when my dog awoke from his nap and wanted a walk:

For my part, I wanted to see how close I had gotten to filling the nook:

After I took this photo, I decided that when I finish the four remaining remnants, I will call it full, count the squares, pack them up, send them off, and continue my march to one thousand rehabbed crochet squares, one stitch at a time.
