I woke up this morning wondering where October had gone.
I had so many things I wanted to get done.
Some of them I did:

some of them I didn’t:

It was hard to choose just four, but I got tired of bringing things downstairs, so these are the unfinished objects I am taking inventory of today.
One of the things I would like to get done so it is no longer weighing on my mind are the hexagons that are owed to fellow swappers in an African Flower Hexagon motif swap I belong to and for which I am three months in arrears:

Owing fellow swappers feels an awful lot like having an overdue library book. You want to return any overdue books, but at the same time, you don’t want to return to the scene of your crime.
Another item that needs my attention is this rug-to-be for my oldest son’s most recent birthday:

I will set aside one morning to finish it, and most likely learn that it requires two entire days for some reason I cannot yet foresee.
One of the items I carried down was one that I had largely forgotten about. Based on the exceedingly popular Babette pattern from Interweave, I need to find the notebook that has my original thoughts about what I had wanted to accomplish this this project:

While I was sorting through potential UFOs, I came across the 28 squares I have completed toward my Go-go granny dress:

I don’t have a clear sense of which project I will complete first (there are so many to choose from), or in what order I will complete them, but it is my intention to devote the month of November to finishing as many unfinished objects as possible, as training for the month of December when I intend to finish my largest (by size and weight) UFO of all.
