My weekend, like the bag I am working on, was practically perfect.
It rained most of the day Friday and continued to wash away even more of the yellow pollen that graces the landscape here in the early spring, but by late Saturday morning the rain had ended.
My deck was both clean and dry, and he temperature was perfect for crocheting en plain air, so I gathered my materials and tools and then set to work.
I put the time to good use, weaving in ends and the joining pieces of what is destined to be my second practically perfect granny square bag, and while I didn’t (as usual) make the progress I had wanted to, I did make substantial progress.
Here is how all of the crochet pieces of the future practically perfect bag looked just before dinner tonight:

There are still many seams to be joined, ends wove in and trimmed, and once that is done I will still need to cut the fabric for the double lining, sew the linings together, and then insert and sew the whole thing into the bag — I plan to trick out this bag just a bit more than the last, but in addition to the features that can be seen, this bag will embody the ineffable essence of a practically perfect day.
