Stash down 2014: I finish two more hats

My original stash down challenge began as the result of a stash acquisition I made in late October of 2011. My longtime readers may recall that I bought all this yarn from my son’s then trumpet teacher, and it was from this acquisition that I selected some yarn for one of the “two more” hats:

Yesterday, using a skein of vintage Red Heart “denim” worsted weight yarn that was part of that acquisition I spent most of my crochet time working on the sixth of ten seafarer’s caps, and this is how far I got with it:

When I picked it up again this morning, it was with the high hope that I would get it done before sunset, which I did:

Delighted to have finished the sixth of ten hats I need for the Christmas celebration with my cousins, I took that crochet mojo and finished crocheting the light coral hat I was working on:

While I still want to trick out the light coral hat and so do not consider it quite finished, the progress I made on these two hats today has given me a sense of satisfaction and renewed my determination.
