This past week when the sun set on Thursday, I found myself disappointed. The days had somehow disappeared, and only ten of the twenty-seven squares I had wanted to rehab were done. I was not as productive as I would have liked. So when I woke up on Friday, I was determined to do whatever it took to make up for lost crochet and have a very productive weekend — at least as it applies to crochet — and as the sun set on today, I had managed to finish work all but two of the twenty-seven squares I had set out to rehab over the week:

These two squares ended up being more time intensive than I expected.
The scrap granny on the left had a number of very short ends to be woven in and I kept promising myself that I would weave them in “next.” Next, however, didn’t roll around until sometime in the late afternoon or (depending on your perspective) early evening of Sunday, and by then it was time to eat dinner. As for the four two-round granny squares on the right, one had been separated from its compatriots and had gone missing for several days.
But while I was looking for the missing square, I continued work on the myriad squares that weren’t missing.
As I made use of the yarn stash I currently have access to the bins and bags of what I think of as my “portable” crochet empire, the weekend turned into a blur of stitches and frogging and weaving in of ends, and eventually, this:

Pleased that I had gotten so much of what I set out to do done, I took some time to get this photo of the completed squares:

I am enjoying working through my crochet remnants enormously, and for the time being, I will continue to work my way through the many pieces I have, one stitch at a time.
