I reach a tipping point

In Malcolm Gladwell’s book “Tipping Point,” the subtitle reads “How Little Things Can make a Big Difference,” and I guess that today enough of those little things (whatever they might be) had accumulated such that I finished my unraveling

I got an early start on my project of undoing.

Shortly after breakfast, I sat with a cup of coffee and a pair or pointy little scissors to one side, and the box containing the squares in question to the other.

I unraveled one square then another.

Every time I completed a few squares, I would take a break to do chores or run small errands.

Yet even with distractions and interruptions and the mohair fibers tangling in defiance of my efforts to unravel them, shortly before three, the box that had housed the squares that had made up the second iteration of the Big Rug project was empty:

I finally empty the box and reach a new tipping point
I finally empty the box and reach a new tipping point

I didn’t quite know what to do with myself

The last square unraveled, my attention turned to a recent temptation that I had found online:

crochetbug, crochet, crochet squares, crochet flowers, crochet blanket, crochet afghan, crochet throw, crochet stripes, granny squares

With a 5.00 mm hook and seven of your favorite colors (if you can limit yourself to so few), you too can have a wondrous blanket like the one pictured above.

I can hardly wait to get started.

  1. Gorgeous afghan! Almost makes me want to start hooking again. And you are very brave for tinking mohair; I did it once and don’t want to do it again.

    1. Brave/Foolhardy. I adore the sheen that mohair gives, so that is why I settled on this yarn.
