In which I inventory the UFOs/WIPs I found in my office

Now that the table in my office is cleared, I am left to finish a number of projects I found while I was making my way to the the surface.

Today, after my myriad errands were completed, I took an inventory.

In addition to the earwarmer/headband featured in my last blog post, I found this granny square motif for which I had intended to write a pattern:

this textured square motif for which I had also intended to write a pattern:

this goat leg:

which was the one piece missing from this collection of crochet goat parts:

A crochet goat in need of a fourth leg so that it is no longer one of the UFOs/WIPs in my office

and (in the right-hand side of this collection of yarn and crochet pieces) the zippered gusset of my Flight of Fancy bag-to-be which (if it were a chile) would probably be halfway through first or second grade:

I am not sure which project I should start with first, but goal for what remains of January is to complete as many of the WIPs that I found in my crochet office as is humanly possible and (where needed) write the patterns for my designs, so that future generations of crocheters can learn from both my successes and my mistakes.

  1. I love the top granny square motif. I love making new squares. I have enough made for a few afghans. Maybe one day I’ll get to them. I also have so many WIP .

  2. After the goat gets his leg :)) I vote for the pattern of your textured square motif. Love that square and haven’t been able to find a pattern.

  3. Yes, the leg first, then a pattern write-up (or two, while you are at it). Of course, I am most curious about seeing where the flight of fancy will take you…

  4. That granny square is gorgeous! I love how the black and the bright colors work together. I, too, have a big pile of those never-completed-projects. There’s always something new and shiny to start that distracts me.
