Buoyed by yesterday’s progress, and cognizant of the fact that there are just 26 hexagons between me and being able to work on the border of this project, the first thing I did today, after I got my son off to school was to take an inventory of what I had already done so that I would know what I needed to do.
It turned out I had two completed turtles, two frogs (one completed, one not), one dog, one lion:

and two bear ears:

I started by working on the four remaining animals needed including two pigs:

one bear (to go with the two bear ears):

and one bird:

Having gotten at least a start on all of the animal hexagons I would need, I turned my attention to the colorful cluster hexagons, and completed 9 of the sixteen needed to complete the project:

While I don’t know that I will get this done by Monday, I am confident I will have it done before March 1 rolls around.
