My recent foray into the crochet cookie jar whetted my appetite to make more cookies.
As soon as I got my son to to the bus this morning, I came back to the house, started a pot of coffee, and got to work on yesterday’s partially completed cherry wink.
When I went to sleep last night, I had gotten this far:

This morning, I finished my first cup of coffee and the cherry wink at about the same time:

The cherry wink done, I set aside my crochet for a bit, got some breakfast and started a load of laundry.
Taking advantage of a lull in the morning’s chores, I returned to the remaining crochet cookies I had begun work on yesterday.
Using the three the crochet jam-centers that were on my coffee/crochet table, I set to work crocheting the outer edge of the cookies and the back. By noon, I had finished a second load of laundry and these three cookies:

With all of yesterday’s partially completed cookies done, I turned my attention to making what ended up being four dark chocolate cookies using a partial skein of Red Heart Super Saver coffee fleck that was in danger of tangling if I did not use it or wind it into a ball:

I then got a photo of the cookies all together:

Now that the pattern of increases and decreases for the crochet cookies has a trusty path through my brain, I really enjoy making them. While I find that I still need to keep a close watch on the count (in order to make cookies that are both uniform and round), I no longer have to consult my notebook with all of the notes I made about how to crochet these cookies which is a good thing, because I seem to have misplaced the notebook.
