I emerge from a vortex to safety

Yesterday disappeared into a vortex of errands, each one with just enough time in between until the next that it was almost impossible to accomplish anything other than running errands.

But by the end of the day, my teeth had been cleaned, shirts had been dropped off at the laundry, a book had been mailed, Clooney was caught up on his vaccinations, and the gas tank of my car was full.

Today, I found myself at home trying to get done all of the things that had gone untended while I had been out running errands, and eventually, I got through enough of the backlog of chores that awaited me that it seemed I had emerged from a vortex that was keeping me from my craft, and I was able to get a little work done on my crochet.

In addition to adding a few inches of progress to the Romanian point lace icord I am making from Red Heart Super Saver cherry cola for a soon-to-be Scooby Doo inspired bag:

I also spent time working on another flower circle fashioned after the Lemonades™ inspired cookie from the cookie scarf I just completed. Using Red Heart Super Saver macaw and shocking pink, I managed to get the finishing touches on this flower power circle before the sun set:

and I even got this photo of it with what will (no doubt) be a companion flower:

I don’t yet know what I am going to do with these pieces that I am making. I know that they are related to each other some who (although I seem to have no idea how), but until the final crochet vision reveals itself, I will continue to move forward, one stitch at a time.
