If the woman in question is me, it would seem the answer to that question is a resounding “no.”

Yesterday, when I was not answering the door or fielding a phone call related to the repairs being done to my house, I managed to finish the Tricolore-inspired stash bag which still puts the number of bags I have at “not too many.”

With my most recent in a seemingly unending series of stash bags completed, I found myself ready to embark on a new crochet adventure.

Since my current short-term goal is to get my yarn annex organized and prepare to move the crochet elements of the crochet empire/guest room to a new, permanent home in the dining room, I thought that one more stash bag was a good idea, so using a mash-up of patterns and techniques, I came up with and idea for what I term a cat bag.

Using a 6.0 mm hook, Red Heart Super Saver carrot and Marrakesh, I tried my hand at using the popular and iconic graphic cats design:

to create a functional “cat bag,” and here is what I came up with:

The second handle for this project needs to be finished, and the resulting bag does not hold its shape quite as well as I would like, but I know that this is an important first step, and as soon as I finish the second handle, weave in (and trim) all of the ends, I will be ready to embark on the next leg of this crochet designing adventure.
