Dateline: San Francisco
Today my youngest son and I set out to meet up with a friend I had not seen in many years, but whom I have known since I was two.
After a couple of phone calls and several texts we arranged to meet at the entrance of the Macy’s across from Union Square.
The first leg of the adventure for me and my son was to take BART into the city. Here is the sight that greeted us as we walked out of the BART station in search of my friend and her son:

A few moments later we met them at the appointed place and time, and we were off, spending what remained of the day exploring as much of San Francisco as we could on foot.
After lunch in Chinatown, we made our way to Lombard street, where in addition to numerous tourists such as ourselves, we saw this dog peeking out of a window to check on the people passing by:

From there we made our way to the San Francisco Art Institute which is home to this Diego Rivera mural:

and this spectacular view of the bay:

The day was both very long and over far too soon, and while I got very little crochet done, I know that this adventure will help to get me through the many crochet challenges that await me.
