I don’t know why, but I’m still surprised at how quickly time passes. It seems like just yesterday I was getting ready for the Day of the Dead 2018, but it obviously wasn’t just yesterday. Nearly a whole year has passed, and now I have eleven days to finish work on not one, but two, additional yarn bombs and trick them all out to my heart’s content.
Having finished most of the work on the second yarn bomb, I have turned my attention to the third yarn bomb. In part, because I feel anxiety around whether or not I will get the pieces done, and in part, because the small one-foot by one-foot panels are more travel ready, because, in addition to crocheting, I am traveling this weekend to take my mother on a long-promised road trip.
So, using this chart as a guide:

When I was not driving, I consulted the chart and worked one row and then another. While sitting at hotel rooms, in parks, and at breakfast, I would work one double crochet stitch and then another, and eventually, I finished the two center panels at the very top of the chart:

And then I was able to add these two completed panels to one other I had already finished:

I am hoping that after I pull into my driveway tomorrow, I will find it easier to stay focused on my Day of the Dead yarn bombs, and maybe even get a few more of these large crochet appliqué flowers:

So I can trick out all three of the yarn bombs!
Sometimes with eleven days, I feel like I can do anything!
You *can* do anything! 🙂
