crochet hexagons blanket Archives

As a result of having worked on the same project all of the week that began on February 10, it almost feels as though the week ended exactly where it began, and while I know it isn’t true it feels as it if is.

To wit: here is how far I had gotten with the long abandoned Ann Halliday crochet hexagon blanket when the week began:

Where I was with the crochet hexagon project at the beginning of the week — I begin piecing together my If pigs (and dogs and birds and bears and frogs and lions and turtles) could fly project

and this is all of the progress I had made when the same week ended:

The progress strikes me as somehow not enough, and at the rate I am going, I have no idea how this project will ever be finished, but be that as it may, the week has ended and it is time to regroup, reflect, and get ready to move forward.

It started on January 10 with me finding the obituary of my grandfather, Otto Stahlhut’s maternal uncle, a man by the name of Otto Thurnau for whom my grandfather might (or might not) have been named.
