The week in review: April 21 through April 25, 2013

Today was the end of the work week, and the kick-off of a end-of-season yarn sale at Yarn Tree Studio, my nearest (and dearest) LYS.

While I technically don’t “need” any yarn, I was drawn to an interesting acrylic, polyamide, mohair blend that was essentially a knitted i-cord made of very fine fibers, such that the final “yarn” was a fiber tube.

Here is the label for the yarn (should you want to find some for yourself):

yarn label
Alegretto yarn label

and here is a hat I fashioned out of two skeins of the yarn (approx 68 yards) and a 15 mm hook in under an hour:

crochet hat
A quick crochet hat

which (as it happens) are my initials.
