What a difference two days can make!

After I reached my personal tipping point on Sunday, I set aside everything and focused exclusively on my crochet. No dishes were washed, dog walks were short, and I ate peanut butter sandwiches washed down with coffee so that I could keep working. To that end, by the time I went to bed on Monday I had completed the first two rows of my state fair project, and today I completed the third row before dinner.

In addition to the things completed, I also have a pile of partially and fully done motifs I was able to crochet and that pile of circles and squares anxiously awaits the opportunity to have their ends woven in so that they too can become a part of the whole.

Lastly, to keep the crochet mojo going and me awake, I did take time to order six pounds of coffee that should find its way to my doorstep any day now and which will eliminate the need to go shopping for it.

Sometimes it really can help to set aside one’s panic for a day — maybe even two:

  1. I can finally see it coming together, and that makes it a lot easier to keep going.
