Two days ago, I made my first African Flower Hexagon.

It was, in it’s way, a transcendent experience, and I found that I couldn’t make just one.

It turned out that the first hexagon was one element of a confluence of events which has led me to this which I am tentatively calling an African flower power bag:

In my head, this future crochet bag will be as transformative as I have found making the motif that is the foundation of the project.

All that’s left is to join the hexagons, make another side, put a zipper in, and make a handle.

Then my new bag and I will be good to go.
