I make progress on the third basket

It seems that every January I begin the new year with the intention of getting myself and my crochet stuff organized, and this year I finally feel that I am beginning to make some headway in the endeavor. To propel me closer to my goal of a more organized reduced-stress life, I am crocheting a series of baskets that fit into the Ikea cubbies I purchased several years ago. The idea is that I will both reduce my stash, and have a place to put things. I am now on the third basket.

Using my 2010 North Carolina State Fair project to guide my color choices for the baskets:

today I made continued progress on the third basket using the unifying neutral of my 2010 state fair project, Red Heart Super Saver aran.

Here is how the project looked from the side:

I am very much looking forward to having all eight baskets done and placed in their cubbies, ready to turn chaos into order, and I am continuing to move toward that goal, one stitch at a time.
