If Longfellow had been forecasting today’s weather, he would have gotten it exactly right.
The morning began with gray skies and rain clouds looming. By mid-morning the rain had finally begun to fall — not a torrential downpour, but just enough of a sprinkle to keep the sidewalks wet and me in the house crocheting.
When I wrote my last post, I had completed 11 of what I thought would be a 25-round circle jacket made of Red Heart Super Saver Camouflage yarn with the goal to finish the circle jacket with enough time to send it across to a friend who has said he would wear it for Halloween.
So last night before I went to sleep, I asked my friends to send me any and all crochet mojo they had available. As it turned out, they must have had quite a bit because with their well wishes, and my K hook, I was able to add another 7 rounds today. As it turns out, I think it will be 22 round rather than 25, so I will be able to add that manly fringe sooner than I expected.
Here is how the circle jacket looked while there was still a little bit of daylight left:

and here is a detail:

And just as I did last night, I am crossing my fingers with the hope that I get this circle jacket done and out in the mail by Monday.
I was wondering how a person may get a copy of this pattern. It is beautiful.
