This past weekend, when I was not engaged in a pyrrhic effort to sweep the pollen the horizontal surfaces in and around my house, I finished joining all of the seams of my granny square bag and worked on the myriad two-round granny squares that I think mat provide the bag with the perfect granny finish.
Here is how the squares looked laid out on my front porch after I had swept and watered down a corner of it so I could get this photo:

While I am able (for the purposes of these photos) to make the squares behave as I would like them to, until I actually put them together and attach them to the bag, I won’t know if this idea will work or simply be one of those learning moments I can refer to in the future.
Either way, I will continue to move forward, one stitch at a time.
