By this time tomorrow, I will either be overcome with exhaustion and fast asleep, or I will be infused with adrenaline and unable to rest. Either way, I am nearing the finish of my 2011 North Carolina State Fair project.
And — either way — this year’s state fair project will have begun the process of becoming part of the history of my state fair endeavors and some other crochet project that has been waiting in the wings will be able to step up and take center stage.
With all of that in mind, I got up this morning and began work at the earliest possible moment and worked feverishly, trying hard to think only about the stitch at hand, and not all of the stitches that were yet to be made. Here is how far I had gotten with my 2011 North Carolina State Fair project shortly after noon today:

As is clear, I still have a bit of work to do, so with Clover bent-tipped needle in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other, I am headed back to the crochet mines.
