The week in review: April 14 through April 18, 2013

This has been a difficult and eventful week for the people of Boston, but as I write this, the last known suspect in Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing has been taken into custody, and it is my hope that we can continue to remember the names of the victims whose lives were lost or interrupted by this week’s tragic events.

As for me, when the going gets tough, I get out my crochet as I find that it is an awesome tool for getting through high anxiety times. Had I been one of the citizens of Watertown holed up in my home today while SWAT teams went door-to-door, I probably would have crocheted many thousands of very tight stitches while I watched and waited.

But tornado warnings not withstanding:

today was not a high anxiety day, and while most of my work on the Tetrisghan focused on assembling pieces and weaving in ends, I did make a few squares with a reasonably relaxed stitch:

I make continued progress on the crochet Tetrisghan

My crochet goals for the weekend are two in number; one, finish the first panel of the Tetrisghan, and two, complete work on the pom pom purse.

Now, for the week in review!

  1. What is the estimated size of your Tetrisghan? It appears as you stated there would be two panels to be throw size, Yes?
