The week in review: May 19 through May 23, 2013

I spent most of my crochet time today working on two more chemo caps for the sister of my friend from third grade.

Using Kate Weikert’s Chemo Sleep Cap pattern, a 4.5 mm hook, and a buttery off-white worsted weight acrylic/nylon yarn that I bought at my nearest local yarn shop, I made this sleep cap:

It turns out that sleep caps can be essential for the comfort of chemo patients, and after that was done, I finished work on another non-sleep cap (using Nancy Brown’s free design “The Betty” and a skein of Berroco Comfort in a heathered green) that I plan to decorate with crocheted Gerber daisies:

the details of which I will have the chance to work out tomorrow.

Now, for the week in review!
