Today was the first of March, and where I live, it came in like a lamb.
With two months of finishing UFOs in my review mirror, I the first thing I did when I got to my crochet was to start on a project my oldest son requested: A kitty litter cat mat.
Using this yarn from my stash

I worked on devising a doormat that will collect the litter that my son’s cats get on their paws. Currently they leave their litter boxes and traipse about the apartment leaving a trail of offending debris.
It was something I had given a fair amount of thought while I was on a hiatus from starting new projects, and once I had worked out a gauge swatch, I was able to get right to work on it.
Here is an overview of the day’s progress:

Bravo! Trumpets are playing!
Absolutely LOVE the kitty litter mat-what a clever use of materials! And, of course, looking foward to seeing the once and future chipmunk….
I love how colourful & playful your projects. Thanks for sharing.
