This morning I got up at 5:45 and helped my son get ready for his last final of the school year.
It was a wet and wild morning, but by 10:45 he was home and summer vacation had officially started.
I have decided that this year I will also take a bit of a summer vacation.
Instead of updating my blog five days a week Sunday through Thursday and compiling a “Week in review” post on Friday, I will be posting just three days a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings.
I have decided to do this for three reasons:
One, it is summer, and I want to goof off.
Two, I have a number of patterns I want to get written (not the least of which are the cookie-dough-ku, the cookieghan, and the hamigurumi).
Three, there are still home repairs to be completed as a result of last April’s “plumbing event,” and as a long as there is work to be done, we have decided to create a dedicated space for my crochet. This is going to require me to make decisions about what stays and what goes, as well as layout a useable work space that will allow me to crochet ever more efficiently.
I have a lot of crochet planned for this summer, so I will have plenty of new and interesting adventures to write about.
Now, for the week in review.
